Trivial Pursuit Print

Trivial Pursuit Print

Trivial Pursuit is the final painting in my second collection 'Game of Life'. This is a series of four paintings that take their names from popular board games. Life is a game; a combination of different players, choices and chance will influence the wins and the losses. In this collection I explore the question; how should we play the game of life?

Trivial Pursuit is a piece that portrays the milestones in life. Like all my work it is composed of a series of patterns representing fragments of the mind which collectively symbolise the totality of the human experience. Trivial Pursuit is all about the race to have experiences which together shape a 'successful' life journey. The individual patterns in this piece are all moving in different directions and yet when viewed as a whole the piece is harmonious;

Is this how the game of life should be played?

Should we step outside the structure? Can we leave the race behind?

Does success need redefining?

Where can I buy a square 12" x 12" frame?

There are lots of 12" square frames on amazon. My favourite is from Wall Space because it comes with a glass front and is available in white, black and oak.

What is the difference between a 'Print' and 'Fine Art Print'

Under the tab 'Original Artwork' you will find the Fine Art version of all my prints. the difference is mostly in the paper, but there are some other distinguishing qualities between them;

  • Prints are 'open edition' whereas Fine Art Prints are limited to 50 of each
  • Fine Art Prints are signed
  • Fine Art Prints are on Giclee paper whereas prints are on FSC paper. Giclee paper is acid-free and archival. However, it is also creamy in colour which means Fine Art Prints are not as bright and colourful as the Print version.
  • Fine Art prints are slightly larger in size
  • Prints are Eco-Friendly
