This website is operated by Checkmates Designs. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Checkmates Designs. By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

You agree not to use our products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction.

Products & Made-to-Order Items

All products, including phone cases, art prints, and poster prints, are made to order unless otherwise stated. Each item is produced specifically for your order.

Because items are made to order, we are unable to accept returns or refunds for change of mind once an order has been placed and production has begun.

Accuracy of Information

We aim to ensure all product descriptions, images, and pricing are accurate. However, we do not guarantee that all information is always complete, current, or error-free. We reserve the right to correct any errors and update information at any time.

Colours & Print Variation

Due to differences in screen displays, lighting, and printing processes, colours may appear slightly different in person compared to what is shown on screen. These minor variations are considered normal and are not classified as faults.

Phone Case Responsibility

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct phone model when placing an order. We are not responsible for incorrect model selection made at checkout.

Products are designed for standard everyday use and aesthetic protection. Normal wear and tear over time is expected.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us at hello@checkmatesdesigns.com as soon as possible with your order number and clear photographs.

We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or refund in line with your statutory rights. This includes items damaged in transit or items with manufacturing defects.

Order Changes & Cancellations

Orders are processed quickly to begin production. We cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations can be made once an order has been placed.

If you need to request a change or cancellation, please contact us immediately and we will advise whether your order can still be amended.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in GBP (£). We reserve the right to change pricing at any time without notice. Payment must be received in full before an order is processed.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party providers for payment processing, production, and shipping. We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by third-party services outside of our control.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including artwork, designs, text, and branding, is the property of Checkmates Designs and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products, except where required by UK law. This does not affect your statutory rights.
