Checkmates Samsara Print
Samsara (Wheel of Life) is the first painting in my third collection 'Wheels within Wheels'. This is a series of two paintings that take their names from Buddhist teachings. In this collection I explore the sensation of a new beginning. Samsara is a piece that portrays the ending of old ways of thinking and being. It is all about the departure of negative thoughts and suffering to create space. Like all my work it is composed of a series of patterns representing fragments of the mind which collectively symbolise the totality of the human experience.

                      Where can I buy a square 12" x 12" frame?

                  There are lots of 12" square frames on amazon. My favourite is from Wall Space because it comes with a glass front and is available in white, black and oak.

                      What is the difference between a 'Print' and 'Fine Art Print'

                  Under the tab 'Original Artwork' you will find the Fine Art version of all my prints. the difference is mostly in the paper, but there are some other distinguishing qualities between them;
- Prints are 'open edition' whereas Fine Art Prints are limited to 50 of each
 - Fine Art Prints are signed
 - Fine Art Prints are on Giclee paper whereas prints are on FSC paper. Giclee paper is acid-free and archival. However, it is also creamy in colour which means Fine Art Prints are not as bright and colourful as the Print version.
 - Fine Art prints are slightly larger in size
 - Prints are Eco-Friendly
